Real Madrid and Inter Milan pick up where they left off earlier this month with another cracking game in Milan. This game is their 4th game in this year’s UCL campaign and both teams will look to boost their chances of making the knockout stage.

Real Madrid will go to the Giuseppe Meazza without the services of veterans, Karim Benzema and Sergio Ramos. Benzema has been out since his team’s loss to Valencia on November 8 with the club harbouring hope that he would be fit for the trip to Milan. Ramos on the other hand is out for a number of weeks with a hamstring injury picked up on international duty. Zidane has been boosted by the return of Casemiro who has recovered from COVID-19.

Inter trio Aleksandr Kolarov, Marcelo Brozovic and Daniele Padelli will miss this game after returning positive coronavirus tests while, Stefano Sensi and Matias Vecino remain out for this game.

This game is a must-win for Conte’s side and anything but a win, all-but rules them out of contention for a place in the knockout stages. The Italian will hope that his formidable attacking options, Lukaku, Sanchez and Martinez, will be able to punish a Madrid defensive that will be without the services of leader and club captain Sergio Ramos.

For Zidane, he will hope that his team come back from Milan with at least a point considering their current poor form upfront and defensive frailities. The Los Blancos will need to find the right balance to make sure the absence of their two veterans does not affect their gameplay. Players like Rodrygo, Hazard and Asensio will need to step-up for the Madridstas.

Matchday 4 is key to both teams’ chances of qualifying for the knockout stage and both managers will hope that their players turn up and give fans a spectacle like they did in the last match in Madrid.
